The desire to take medicine is perhaps the greatest feature

which distinguishes man from animals.

- Sir William Osler M.D.

I should have gone to a vet,

father said. When a cat becomes

real sick, it’s put to sleep.

Did my doctor ever give me

that option? Instead, he says

I can donate my body

to science. Why should I be

the only one donating? He charges

by the minute. Five hundred

dollars I pay for him to say

there’s little hope I’ll make

it past this stay? He says I’m

the perfect patient, because

I never complain. Why

complain to him when he’ll

charge me for it? Meanwhile,

I’d rather complain to you for free.
